Released in October 2016 on InFiné, Planète Humaine marks a pivotal moment in the artistic trajectory of Fraction. Known for his immersive audiovisual installations, here he returns to a raw and focused sound-driven format. Across five tracks, Planète Humaine explores dystopian, retro-futurist landscapes shaped by analog processing and granular synthesis.

Built using real-time tools—distortion pedals, granular sampling, and tactile manipulation of sound—this EP reconnects with a more instinctive approach to composition. The result is both intimate and conceptual, offering a sonic response to two key questions:

What is the place of humanity in a world shaped by itself?

And how does sound reflect the tensions between physical space and metaphysical inquiry?

Planète Humaine is more than an isolated release. It acts as a reboot of Fraction’s sonic vocabulary, while echoing the philosophical threads of earlier works such as DROMOS or Entropia. The five pieces oscillate between abstraction and texture, memory and collapse. Each feels like a sonic artefact from a speculative future—unpolished, complex, and emotionally charged.

This release fits naturally into Fraction’s evolving discography which consistently explores the intersection of sound, perception, and spatial environments.

Planète Humaine is available via InFiné Music and all major platforms.
