In September 2024, I was invited by Fundacja Sztuk Krytycznych, with the support of the Institut Français de Pologne, to participate in the creation of PIEŚNI CODZIENNOŚCI (Songs of the Everyday) — a hybrid performance conceived and directed by composer and cellist Marcin Krzyżanowski.

As part of this multidisciplinary project, I contributed the electronic and visual composition, designing a live sound environment that interacted with both acoustic performance and spoken text. The work was presented as part of the Warsaw Autumn Festival (Warszawska Jesień), Poland’s leading contemporary music festival.

Rooted in the oral traditions of Jewish everyday singing (nigunim), the piece merges contemporary composition, electroacoustic performance, textual meditation, and ritual energy. The libretto draws on Jolanta Brach-Czaina’s philosophical work Szczeliny istnienia (The Cracks of Existence), interwoven with traditional song fragments, creating a poetic reflection on presence, voice, and the invisible spaces of daily life.

The performance featured:

  • Zuzanna Paluch and Katarzyna Liwska – actors
  • Yale Strom – violin
  • Elizabeth Schwartz – voice, baritone ukulele
  • Marcin Krzyżanowski – electric cello, composition, text
  • CHÓR WYDARTY DOMOM KUR – vocal ensemble
  • Artur Małecki – choir coaching
  • Karolina Bikont – contextual lecture
  • Eric Raynaud (Fraction) – electronic and visual composition

The result was a dense, immersive and emotionally resonant performance, blending traditional memory with experimental form and spatial audio dramaturgy.

Along that work, i also performed Ritual For a Dying Planet during Warsaw Autumn
