‘Ode au Chaos’ is a radical plastic exploration by Éric Raynaud, in collaboration with drummer Charles Dubois, where sound, image and gesture rub against one another until they become material. Unstable and abrasive, the form is continuously composed and undone in real time.
An ephemeral, subtle and uncompromising poetry, the performance engages the body and perception at the closest possible distance to the raw energy of sound, generative visuals and glitches, and the performative gesture. The audience does not face the work: it is exposed to it, traversed by its frictions, thresholds and points of rupture, within a constant tension between contained control and unexpected overflow.
